The entire house is available for a couple to enjoy a getaway or for 1-6 adult guests who are in the area for work, visiting family/ friends, traveling through or vacationing in the Lowell or Grand Rapids area. Our cozy 1880's farmhouse is the perfect place to enjoy peace and quiet in a beautiful natural setting surrounded by forests and prairie grasses on the Flat River just a mile from the quaint town of Lowell. We have welcomed guests since 2013.
Our guests favorite room is the main floor Master Bedroom (with queen size bed) which walks directly into its own bathroom (with shower/bathtub combo unit). Opposite the bathroom is a three season porch making a lovely extension of the master bedroom.
The living room has its own cozy feel with an electric fireplace and flat screen TV for evening entertainment and a beautiful scenic view of the river.
Our craftsman style kitchen with an original porcelain-cast iron sink with drain board gives visitors a 1930’s era feel.
A microwave for warming pre-cooked foods, a refrigerator for your snacks, and a Keurig with coffees, teas and hot cocoa are available to enjoy during your entire stay.
The adjacent dining room has its original pine flooring, and has been tastefully restored with cherry wainscot paneling made from lumber taken off our own property!
The upstairs North Bedroom (with two twin beds) and South Bedroom (with a full bed, and loveseat) are available when you reserve for more than 2 guests or if you need separate rooms for a friend's getaway.
There is a half bath upstairs and the main floor full bathroom may also be accessed through the living room.
We also have a beautiful cedar lined room with a direct view of the river through an over-sized patio door with its own attached full bathroom.

Prices for 1-2 guests generally range from $125 to $165 and can vary depending on time of year, weekend/weekday rates, holidays, and number of people, and breakfast options. Call or email us for current pricing.
Making a Reservation: When booking a reservation, a credit card is required for a deposit, to hold the room, and keep on record in the unlikely event of damages to the house, furnishings, appliances or property. We accept Visa and MasterCard.
Guests signing the agreement must be 21 or older and display mature, responsible characteristics. The agreement may not be transferred or assigned.
Payment/Deposit/Cancellations: A reservation deposit of 50% of the balance is due at the time of booking. This is non-refundable in the event of cancellation. The remaining balance will be due upon arrival.
Check in/Checkout: Guests may check into the house beginning at 3:00pm and must check out by 11:00am on the day of departure. If you would like to check in before 3 pm or check out after 11 am, please consider reserving a 2nd night.
Reservation is for 1-6 ADULT guests only (no children or infants). Guests may not invite others to the home or property during their stay.
All guests staying must be reserved with the initial reservation. There is a per person guest fee added for more than 2 guests.
When making a reservation, all guests are agreeing that they will abide by our River Edge policies and rules.
To protect our home's beautiful pine floors and area rugs, no shoes may be worn in the house. A bench in the mudroom is available for easy shoe removal and cozy slippers are available.
Due to insurance requirements, guests may not use our washer, dryer or stove.
No cooking or food preparation is permitted by guests. No portable grills or fire pits may be utilized on the property.
No parties in the house or on the property allowed. No hunting allowed. No marijuana products may be brought onto or used on our property.
Guests may not park or drive on the grass. The driveway may be accessed by cars and light trucks only.
We supply towels, soap, shampoo, hair dryers. An iron and ironing board is available upon request. Washer and dryer, stove and refrigerator are for River Edge staff use only. No cooking or food preparation by Guests is permitted. Microwave may be used for warming food by Guests.
The Property: The catwalk/dam foundation at the river is secured by a gate and is available for use by adults only. The gate must be kept closed during your stay.
Care of house/Clean-up: Because of our finished wood floors, we require that all guests remove their shoes upon entering the house. Guests may wear stocking feet or slippers only. No bare feet or outside footwear allowed. There is a mud room area with a boot bench upon entry for easy shoe removal. No open flames or use of candles in the house.
Disturbances: Occupancy and use of the premises and amenities shall not be in a manner that disturbs owners, other Guests, or neighbors. No pets, fireworks, or discharge of firearms are allowed on property.
Alcohol/Smoking: It is our expressed desire that our B&B guests enjoy their experience at our facility in every way possible. For some, that may include a glass of wine or champagne at some point during their stay. Although we find this acceptable, we feel the need to ask our quests to limit alcohol consumption to our Wedding Preparation Building or anywhere on the property, but require that they not bring alcohol into the home. House parties will not be allowed, and we feel this policy will create reasonable balance that will help our guests to be respectful of each other, and we as homeowners. No alcohol may be brought on the property by guests on the day of a wedding or other planned event.
No Smoking is allowed in the house. A designated area for smoking outside of the house will be provided.
