When you check in to our B&B, you will quickly become acclimated to the warm surroundings of our home. "Girls night out", scrap-booking parties, couple's/multiple couple's weekend getaways are just some of the activities you can enjoy in the comfort and nostalgia of our 1880's farmhouse.
If you love the outdoors, nature, and scenic beauty, the lure of the property will present more fun things to do than you can shake a stick at. The Flat River is a highly renowned Small Mouth Bass river, and we have a long stretch of private frontage for you to fish. If you like kayaking or tubing, we have as pretty of stretch of river as you can find. Our numerous trails through the property offer quality hiking, photography, cross country skiing, snowshoeing, and bird and wildlife watching while you explore our diverse property.
Finally, our favorite spot on the entire property is “The Wall.” It was part of the original dam site foundation and was abandoned around the turn of the century. Made from hand split Michigan fieldstone, this old foundation remains, hanging 12 feet above the river, tastefully restored with a catwalk and guard rail for easy access, and a trellis with bittersweet vines growing overhead for summertime shade. Sit here with your friends and just enjoy the view or toss a line over and literally watch the fish hit your bait.
If convenience to local restaurants, shopping, and events are important to you, we are located just one mile North of the Lowell City limits. We have several fine restaurants there, as well as Meijer, which are quickly accessible. We are also very close to Fallasburg Park/Covered Bridge, The North Country Trail and the Lowell State Game Area, which is directly across the river. We are a short 15 minutes from Grand Rapids.
