When is River Edge available for Events?
Our event season runs from late April through early November, and hold events on Fridays, Saturdays and certain week days. We do not offer events on Sundays.

What is River Edge's capacity?
Up to 250 guests.
When do you offer rehearsals? Is there a cost?
Rehearsal time reservations are typically scheduled on the Thursday prior to your event day. Contact us for hourly rates and availability. There is no charge if you have your rehearsal during your normal wedding day time allotment.
Is there a place on site for our wedding party to dress?
Yes--our dressing building is made available as an area for preparation, as well as elderly guests, parents with babies or small children seeking a temporary quiet place.
Will our guests be comfortable in your pavilion?
Our pavilion was designed to serve for a multitude of different climate conditions. Our roll up tent curtains are ideal if needed to protect from wind or blowing precipitation, but most of the time its' advantage is to simply allow the warm summer breeze and sunshine in! We also have ceiling fans for the warmest of days, and an optional 175,000 BTU propane forced air heater if desired.
How should we plan for our event with children?
We welcome children as they are a wonderful part of the family structure, however due to the obvious water hazards of our riverfront venue, children are required to be with at least one parent at all times. No climbing, throwing stones or unsafe activities are allowed. We recommend that yard games be brought for children's use, such as corn hole, ladder ball etc. for their best possible experience and quality time management.
Do you allow fireworks at my event?
Due to potential fire hazards and respect for our neighbors, we only allow for a sparkler send off near the conclusion of your reception.
Does River Edge have onsite staff?
We provide staff for a number of different duties necessary for your event day such as, parking assistance, trash removal, answering questions as they arise, restroom maintenance, heat, lighting and fan controls, tent curtain adjustments and to assist for the overall safety and well being of your guests. Please keep in mind that a staff member does not serve as a wedding planner.
Can I use my own caterer and other vendors?
We do have a list of recommended caterer's however, you may use your own licensed and approved caterer with no added gratuity or site use fees. With the exception of alcohol service, you may use your own vendors, providing they can work within our venue guidelines.
Can I bring my own food?
We require a licensed catering service for all events. River Edge does not authorize self catering.
What is River Edges alcohol service policy?
All alcohol must be brought on site and served by River Edge's insured and required bartender. No alcohol may be brought on River Edge property by any other individual(s) including renters, wedding party members, caterers, vendors or guests. The term "alcohol" includes "gifts", "favors", and includes alcohol containers (with or without alcohol) used for photo props, which could depict a violation of our alcohol policy. No marijuana products may be brought on the property.
Are candles permitted?
Due to past cleanup issues from excessive wax drippings, we only allow battery operated type candles. No open flames are allowed.
Do you have a designated smoking area?
We require all smoking and vaping to occur within 15' of our (marked with a sign) smoking area, which is approximately 50' in front of our pavilion. A can will be provided for cigarette butts. No marijuana products may be brought on the property.
Can we use our own decorations in the pavilion or surrounding property?
Our pavilion interior has already been decorated with twinkle lights and tulle fabric, and several other items. We can appreciate our couples wanting to add their personal touch or style to their special wedding day, but will need to approve of all decorating plans to insure that our pavilion, grounds and other structures remain beautiful for future wedding parties. All items needing to be hung or secured must be done so with string or twine only.
What are our cleanup responsibilities?
We ask that all grounds and tabletop trash be placed in our provided containers. River Edge staff will empty these containers as needed during and after your event time. All decorations, personal effects (and respective containers) and vendor items brought onsite must be removed by 11pm of your event day.
What are the guidelines for photography?
Photos may be taken anywhere on our property, but must be taken on the ground, with no climbing of trees or other stationary objects to achieve a desired photo. No photos may be taken depicting a violation of River Edge's alcohol & marijuana policy, whether real or simulated.
Can your B&B house be used in conjunction with our event?
We currently offer our home as an add on option for a private overnight stay for bride and groom only on their wedding night. A breakfast will be provided, and checkout time is 11:00am the following day.
Can our vehicles be left at the venue overnight?
For safety and liability reasons, we require that all guests and vehicles be off the property by 11:00pm. Individuals who should not drive after an event will need to coordinate rides or carpooling in advance, including removal of their own vehicles by others if necessary following the event.
